would like to check if it is necessary to switch off Lavry DA11 when not in use? Not sure if turning ON/OFF the device will result to a faster wear-n-tear.

Our gear is made with high quality components, and the DA11 does not generate a significant amount of heat.

Operating gear in an environment where the heat builds-up can shorten the operating life.

So assuming the DA11 is operating in an environment that is normal "comfortable" room temperature, is not placed immediately above heat generating equipment and has some space above and around it for air circulation, the answer is that it probably will not matter whether you leave the unit "On" 24/7, or turn it "Off" when you are not using it. This is because doing either will result in some "aging" of the components.

One other factor is AC power surges or "spikes." If the AC power is relatively free of disturbances, it will be less problematic to leave the unit on 24/7 as versus a situation where the DA11 may receive more "power hits" if it is not turned "off" when not in use.

What I recommend in "normal" circumstances is leaving the unit "On" if there is a chance you will use it again the same day; and turning it "Off" when you are not likely to use it again within a few hours.
